Workshop: BirdWatchBot

Whether you're a seasoned birdwatcher or a curious beginner, the BirdPi will enhance your connection to nature. This event is part of the Zoönomic Toolkit Series.

What to Expect:

• Introduction to BirdNET-Pi: Learn how this device works and how it can help you track birds in your area.
• Install fest - Step-by-Step Installation: We’ll guide you through setting up your BirdPi, from assembling hardware to configuring the software and connect it to Birdweather.
• Brainstorming Session: Share ideas and collaborate on ways to expand the existing BirdNET-Pi software for future workshops and projects.

What You’ll Need to Bring:

• A Raspberry Pi (model 3B+ or newer is recommended)

• A power supply for the Raspberry Pi
• Your laptop

We’ll provide:

• A microSD card (at least 16GB) preloaded with Raspberry Pi OS - feel free to bring your own
• Detailed instructions and guidance
• Additional tools and software needed for setup
• A friendly and supportive atmosphere to learn and experiment
